Maple Nuts and Seeds Granola


Have you seen the prices of store-bought granola these days? It is insane! Especially when you realize that making it yourself is as easy as 1,2, 3.  To top it off, cost is low and the huge bonus is that you can pronounce every ingredient that you are eating. So there you have it! You now have no more excuses not to make it yourself! 🙂

Maple Nuts and Seeds GranolaA bowl of this granola on top of your favorite yogurt is a good way to start the day. Of course you can go ahead and sprinkle some on your ice cream if you wish… your secret will be safe with me! Switch it up with the nuts and seeds as you wish and feel free to add some mini chocolate chips once the granola is cooled and you’ve got yourself a feel-good treat! As long as your ratio of nuts and/or seeds, oats and maple syrup is there you will be fine however you wish to adapt it to what is in your cupboard.

Maple Nuts and Seeds GranolaPreheat oven at 300°F. Toss all the ingredients together except the coconut if using. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking oil. Spread the granola mixture so that it is spread into one even layer. Cook for a total of 30 minutes, mixing well every 10 minutes and adding the coconut in the last 10 minutes if using. And that is it! You are done! Just let it cool and place in a container on your counter to be used all week long. You can also store it in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.



  • 3 cups of old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup of raw almonds
  • 1/2 cup of raw pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup of raw sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup of grated unsweetened coconut  (optional)
  • 1/2 cup of maple syrup
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon (optional)
