Charred Green Onions with Sumac

You think you know what green onions taste like but once you’ve had them charred you will never go back!  These make a great side to anything and is also great added to any salad (try it in a watermelon and feta or a nectarine and goat cheese salad).

Charred Green Onions with SumacToss the green onions with the sumac, salt and olive oil.  Cook on the BBQ on medium heat and turn every 2 minutes until they are soft and beautifully dark.

  • 1 bunch of green onions
  • 1 tsp of sumac
  • 1 tsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
